Job description

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to take charge of Livestorm’s financial and corporate management. This person will also oversee the legal and HR departments.

This key position requires a strategic vision and a proactive approach to ensure effective management of Livestorm.

Livestorm is now profitable, generating EBITDA, and our goal is to increase profitability while accelerating growth. The objective is to achieve a stable balance between growth and profitability.

The CFO will work closely with the CEO and the Executive Committee (Comex) to structure and drive the company’s growth while ensuring performance optimization and rigorous KPI tracking.

Main Responsibilities

1. Business Management and Oversight

  • Supervise and optimize the management of the legal, HR, and finance departments.

  • Define and track key performance indicators to ensure Livestorm’s financial health.

  • Ensure a clear financial vision by maintaining a rigorous P&L and business plan.

  • Actively participate in strategic decision-making and raise alerts in case of risks.

  • Ensure that all teams have structured roadmaps and follow appropriate KPIs for precise performance tracking.

  • Establish a data-driven culture to ensure effective coordination between teams and align project tracking with strategic objectives.

2. Financial Management and Optimization

  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and business plans in line with strategic objectives.

  • Drive company profitability by optimizing costs and financial structure.

  • Ensure cash flow management and investment optimization.

  • Proactively track financial and operational KPIs to anticipate funding needs and ensure controlled growth.

  • Optimize cash flow management and improve cash collection.

3. Oversee Legal and HR Teams

  • Work with the Head of People to ensure legal and regulatory compliance for HR contracts and corporate aspects.

  • Work with the Head of People to implement and enforce HR policies aligned with business objectives.

  • Maintain and enhance contractual relationships with clients and partners (e.g., MSA, NDA, etc.).

  • Ensure Livestorm's compliance with regulatory obligations (e.g., GDPR) and strategic initiatives (e.g., ISO 27001).

4. Governance and Investor Relations

  • Work alongside the CEO on corporate discussions with investment funds.

  • Prepare and present financial analyses to investors and boards.

  • Ensure smooth and impactful communication on company performance.

  • Co-lead with the CEO fundraising and M&A operations.

  • Ensure Livestorm complies with corporate obligations (e.g., general meetings).

  • Maintain and enhance mechanisms to align employees with company results (e.g., BSPCE/BSA, profit-sharing plans, etc.).

5. Leadership and Productivity

  • Strengthen leadership within Livestorm.

  • Foster team cohesion and efficiency in a remote environment.

  • Maintain and introduce new processes to increase team productivity.

6. Interaction with Product, Tech, and Sales

  • Collaborate closely with CPO, CTO, CRO, and VP Sales to align operational strategy across teams.

  • Ensure effective coordination and communication between departments to optimize execution of strategic objectives.

  • Develop a deep understanding of technical, product, and commercial challenges to enable informed decision-making.

Job requirements

Experience & Education

  • Significant experience (7+ years) in a similar finance role, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.

  • Experience in M&A and fundraising, with a solid understanding of interactions with investment funds.

  • Experience in consulting firms, investment funds, or tech startups is a plus.

  • Proven experience working with product, technical, and sales teams.

  • Strong experience in a fully remote work environment and its specificities.

Key Skills

  • Financial expertise: Strong grasp of budget management, P&L, forecasts, and business plans.

  • Solid legal knowledge: Ability to understand and negotiate HR and corporate contracts.

  • Leadership and communication: Strong presence in the Executive Committee, ability to engage teams and investors.

  • Proactivity and decision-making: Ability to anticipate risks and make strategic decisions.

  • Fluent in English and French: Essential for interacting with the team, investors, and partners.

  • Ability to manage a French entity with a strong international commercial presence, including the U.S. subsidiary, with a good understanding of regulatory and tax challenges.

  • Data-driven and analytical mindset: Ability to track and analyze operational and financial KPIs to optimize company management.
